yep, for me it's still Ollie to win X Factor!



Whatever "it" is, he has it! Rachel was good until her post-performance with Dermot when she was just too uber-excited and I have to agree with Cheryl Cole ... the twins are fast becoming a guilty pleasure!

And I've still got my favourite Michael Buble to watch tonight too ... who said you need to have boom-boom-ra-ra weekends to have a good time!

the joys of having big gaps between your children ...


So far today I have babysat the grandaughter, been to my youngest's parents evening at primary school and then attended a 6th form careers convention with my son! Now I'm going to sit down and have a large hot chocolate for my troubles!!! K x

I answered a phone call this morning from my eldest daughter and was greeted by the sharp shriek of "where are you?" which rather rattled me I have to confess. She quickly reassured my "oh my goodness, what's happened" reaction by following up with "there's a spider downstairs ... can you come and rescue me?!"… Continue

and now we move on to the next thing!!!!!


So after the tension and nerves of the GCSE results, the subsequent relief and celebration ... we now move on to the preparations for the daughter to go off to university!
Lists, lists and more lists ... arghhhhhh!!!!!!!

Yay ... mission accomplished!!!!!!


Oh, the relief! They might be healthy, and we have to be very grateful for that, but dyslexia is such a so-and-so problem to have ... it gnaws away at self-confidence, it means academic study is a constant grind and it's misunderstood which can make getting the appropriate support a total nightmare!

Hi Kathryn,

Read your post to Carrie and just want to add that I will be thinking of you when you go in for your hysterectomy - it is something that I have been putting off so well done for having the courage to go through with it. Get lots of rest afterwards, eat and drink properly and all will be well.
